Happy Spring Dear Readers.

How’s your pleasure these days? Are you finding it challenging to tap into your joy while others are suffering so much?
Audre Lorde’s words reminded me that joy- and it’s kindred spirit, pleasure— is not only how we keep our own light burning bright, but it is a way to feel connected to one another. We can empathize and we can also celebrate.
Our beautiful community is 1200 strong. Today, I open the floor to all of you to share what is nourishing you. Where and how are you taking and making your pleasure? What delights you? Are you engaging your senses in new ways? How are you celebrating? Are you finding, as I am, a tenderness in the recognition that we are passing through this life ever so briefly?
I am writing this with a sleeping daughter on my lap. That I can touch childhood again like this, even though my girls drive cars and make their own way in the world, is one pleasure I am relishing in today.
Please share yours in the comments below.
May our individual joys be bridges and footpaths, rivers and rituals that remind us that we are all here together in this collective soup of humanity.
That sleeping child on your lap brings me joy. Knowing that child and that lap as I do.
A full day. A toddler wriggling and splashing in the bath. Our new puppy sleeping next to me. A blue star balloon that has lost so much helium.
